  • Cung cấp tài chính thêm cho những gia đình nghèo, đổi lại phải đưa con đi học -> giải quyết vấn đề thiếu hụt 1 lao động trong nhà khi 1 đứa trẻ trong nhà phải đi học.
  • Tăng phúc lợi cho giáo viên để thu hút giáo viên đến vùng nghèo dạy chữ.

Illiteracy still shows signs of increase despite the growth of education. This phenomenon brings about many drawbacks, and the government should take prompt action to solve the problem.

It is undeniable that several drawbacks are associated with illiteracy. Among them, the most significant one would be that people who are unable to read and write might be victims of scams. This is because illiterate people are not able to process the terms in a legal contract, thus ending up signing documents without thoroughly understanding the content. As a result, they might be held legally responsible for actions they did not fully comprehend. Another drawback for illiterate individuals is that they are highly likely to have limited chances to improve their quality of life. This can be ascertained by the fact that illiterate people normally have restricted knowledge about academic fields, which reduces their chances of furthering their education and, in the long term, their career prospects. Consequently, they may end up unemployed or, if employed, can only be hired for manual-related jobs.

I believe there are several measures that can be implemented to alleviate this issue. One is for the government to introduce policies that encourage education, especially in poor regions where many children are unable to go to school. Specifically, the policies should include an increase in financial support for underprivileged families, so that they could send their children to school without worrying about losing a working member of the household. Moreover, the salary and living conditions for teachers working in poor regions should also be improved. This policy would help attract more teachers to the mountainous regions, where the rate of illiteracy is still high, to work for a certain period of time.

In conclusion, illiteracy brings many drawbacks to uneducated people. Therefore, it is the government's responsibility to take action to eliminate this issue by introducing policies that encourage general education in underprivileged regions.
