    2. Sample answer 1

I’m going to talk about a time when I went to a crowded place, which was during Tết, or the Lunar New Year holiday, at Phố đi bộ Hồ Gươm, the pedestrian street around Hoàn Kiếm Lake in Hanoi. It’s a popular spot where a lot of people gather during the holiday to celebrate and watch the fireworks.

I went there with my family a couple of years ago, right on New Year’s Eve. We thought it would be nice to go to the lake to enjoy the festive atmosphere and to see the fireworks show at midnight. The streets were packed with peoplelocals and tourists alike—who had come to enjoy the celebration. There were also street performers, food stalls, and decorations, which made the place feel very lively.

We went there mainly because it’s one of the best places in the city to experience the excitement of the New Year. Everyone was in a festive mood, and we wanted to be part of that. Also, the firework display over the lake is famous, so we thought it would be a memorable way to start the new year.

To be honest, I had mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it was great to be part of such a big celebration, surrounded by happy people and the beautiful decorations. The fireworks were spectacular, and it was definitely an unforgettable experience. On the other hand, the crowd was overwhelming at times. It was hard to move around, and we had to wait a long time for the fireworks to start. Still, overall, I’m glad we went because it was a special moment to share with my family.

    3. Sample answer 2

One of the most crowded places I’ve been to was a flower market during the Lunar New Year in Bac Ninh. This market is held every year around January or February, just before the New Year celebrations, and it’s always packed with people shopping for flowers and plants to decorate their homes.

I went there with my family, including my parents and my older siblings. It’s a family tradition for us to visit the flower market together every year to buy some peach blossoms or kumquat trees, which are common decorations for Vietnamese households during the Lunar New Year.

We went there to enjoy the festive atmosphere and, of course, to pick out the best flowers for our home. My mom loves flowers, so it was important for her to find the perfect ones to display during the holiday. The market was extremely crowded, with people bustling around, negotiating prices, and carrying large plants and flowers. It was a little overwhelming at times because there were so many people, and it wasn’t easy to move around.

Despite the crowd, I felt quite excited. The lively atmosphere really made me feel like the New Year was approaching, and it reminded me of the happy memories of celebrating Tet in previous years. Although it was tiring to be in such a crowded place, the experience was worth it because it’s part of the holiday tradition and something that brings my family closer together.

    IELTS Speaking part 3

Tham khảo một số câu trả lời phần thi IELTS Speaking part 3 đơn giản dưới đây từ SOL nhé:

    1. Which cities are crowded in your country?

In Vietnam, the most crowded cities are definitely Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. These two cities are the largest in the country and are always full of people, especially during rush hours. The traffic can be really bad, and the streets are often packed with motorbikes and cars. These cities are popular for both business and tourism, which adds to the crowding.

    • crowded cities /ˈkraʊdɪd ˈsɪtiz/: các thành phố đông đúc
    • rush hours /rʌʃ aʊərz/: giờ cao điểm
    • packed with motorbikes and cars /pækt wɪð ˈmoʊtərˌbaɪks ənd kɑːrz/: chật ních xe máy và ô tô
    • business and tourism /ˈbɪznɪs ənd ˈtʊərɪzəm/: kinh doanh và du lịch

    2. Will there be more or less green space in cities in the future?

I hope there will be more green space in the future, but I think it will depend on how cities plan their development. With urbanization, a lot of land is being used for buildings and roads, so green spaces are shrinking in some places. However, I’ve noticed that many cities, like Hanoi, are trying to build more parks and plant trees to improve airquality and create a better living environment. Hopefully, this trend continues.

    • green space /ɡriːn speɪs/: không gian xanh
    • urbanization /ˌɜːrbənɪˈzeɪʃən/: đô thị hóa
    • land used for buildings and roads /lænd juːzd fɔːr ˈbɪldɪŋz ənd roʊdz/: đất được sử dụng cho tòa nhà và đường
    • shrinking /ˈʃrɪŋkɪŋ/: thu hẹp
    • air quality /er ˈkwɒlɪti/: chất lượng không khí
    • living environment /ˈlɪvɪŋ ɪnˈvaɪərənmənt/: môi trường sống

    3. Will people use bikes more or less in cities in the future?

I think people might use bikes more in the future, especially with the growing concern about pollution and traffic. Biking is an eco-friendly way to travel, and some cities are starting to build better infrastructure, like bike lanes, to encourage people to cycle. Electric bikes are also becoming more popular because they’re easier to use, especially for longer distances. In Vietnam, bikes are still widely used, and I believe they’ll continue to be an important mode of transportation.

    • pollution and traffic /pəˈluːʃən ənd ˈtræfɪk/: ô nhiễm và giao thông
    • eco-friendly /ˌiːkoʊ ˈfrɛndli/: thân thiện với môi trường
    • bike lanes /baɪk leɪnz/: làn đường dành cho xe đạp
    • electric bikes /ɪˈlektrɪk baɪks/: xe đạp điện
    • mode of transportation /moʊd əv ˌtrænspərˈteɪʃən/: phương tiện giao thông

    4. What are the places that usually have long queues?

In Vietnam, places like banks, hospitals, and government offices usually have long queues, especially during busy hours. Also, popular restaurants or street food stalls often have long lines, especially if they’re famous or highly recommended. I’ve also noticed that during holidays or weekends, tourist attractions like museums or amusement parks can get really crowded, so there are often long queues there as well.

    • long queues /lɔːŋ kjuːz/: hàng dài
    • government offices /ˈɡʌvərnmənt ˈɒfɪsɪz/: cơ quan chính phủ
    • street food stalls /striːt fuːd stɔːlz/: quầy thức ăn đường phố
    • tourist attractions /ˈtʊərɪst əˈtrækʃənz/: địa điểm du lịch
    • amusement parks /əˈmjuːzmənt pɑːrks/: công viên giải trí
