The way I see it, her success story has been widely covered in the media, which is how I came to know more about her life and work. To start with, she is a highly accomplished entrepreneur who has built a thriving business in the aviation industry. But what I admire most is that she doesn’t just focus on making a profit—she has made air travel affordable for millions of people, including those who could never have imagined flying before. More specifically, her airline has opened up opportunities for people in rural areas to travel to big cities for work, education, or healthcare. This has helped bridge the gap between urban and rural communities, which I think is a significant contribution to society.
What’s more, Ms. Thao is also known for her philanthropy. She has donated generously to support education, healthcare, and disaster relief in Vietnam. To name one example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, her company provided free transportation for medical workers and essential goods, which made a huge difference during such a challenging time. To my way of thinking, Ms. Thao exemplifies how one individual can use their success to make a positive impact on society. Her work has not only improved the quality of life for countless people but also inspired others to aim high and give back to the community. All in all, she is someone I truly look up to, and I believe her contributions will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
The way I see it, jobs that require specialized skills or higher education tend to be well-paid. For starters, professions like doctors, engineers, and lawyers often earn high salaries because their expertise is in demand and takes years to develop. On top of that, jobs in tech industries, such as software development or artificial intelligence, are also lucrative due to the rapid advancements in technology. For example, a friend of mine who works as a data scientist earns a six-figure salary because of the unique skills he possesses. That said, not all high-paying jobs are glamorous; some, like mining or offshore drilling, involve significant risks.
As far as I can tell, well-paid jobs are often those in leadership positions or industries that generate high revenue. CEOs and senior managers, for instance, receive hefty paychecks because they are responsible for making critical decisions that impact the entire company. Another thing is that creative fields like acting or professional sports can also be incredibly lucrative for those who reach the top, though they are highly competitive. Mind you, some undervalued professions, like teaching or social work, might not offer great financial rewards despite their importance to society.
From my perspective, working conditions in my country have improved significantly in recent years, particularly in terms of flexibility. First of all, remote work has become more common, allowing employees to achieve a better work-life balance. For instance, many companies now offer hybrid models, where staff can work from home a few days a week. What’s more, there’s been a greater emphasis on mental health, with organizations introducing wellness programs and providing access to counseling services. That said, not all industries have adapted, and some workers, like factory employees, still face tough conditions.
To my way of thinking, the most noticeable change has been the increase in automation and technology in the workplace. More specifically, machines and software now handle many repetitive tasks, reducing the physical workload for employees. For example, cashiers in supermarkets are being replaced by self-checkout systems. However, this shift has also led to concerns about job security, especially for workers in industries like manufacturing. With that being said, many companies are offering retraining programs to help employees transition into new roles, which is a positive step forward.
My take on this is that pay should be based on skills and performance rather than age. To start with, younger employees may bring fresh ideas, adaptability, and familiarity with new technologies, which can be just as valuable as the experience older workers possess. For example, a young marketing professional might excel at managing social media campaigns and generate significant revenue for the company. That said, older workers often have the advantage of years of expertise, so it’s fair for them to earn higher salaries in roles that rely heavily on experience.
The way I see it, it’s reasonable for younger people to earn less at the start of their careers since they are still gaining experience. First of all, entry-level roles often involve tasks that require less responsibility, which justifies a lower salary. More importantly, as they develop their skills and prove their worth, they can earn promotions and pay raises over time. For instance, I know a junior software developer who started with a modest salary but doubled it within two years thanks to his performance. Mind you, equal pay for equal work is essential, regardless of age, especially in jobs where both young and older workers perform the same duties.
