    2. Sample answer 1

I’m going to talk about a place where I’ve taken photos more than once, which is Hồ Gươm, or Hoàn Kiếm Lake, in the center of Hanoi. It’s a famous landmark in the city, and it’s surrounded by trees, old buildings, and traditional architecture. Every time I visit Hanoi, I usually stop by the lake and take a few pictures.

I’ve probably taken photos there more than ten times, especially when I visit with friends or family. It’s a spot that feels different depending on the season and the time of day. For example, in the early morning, it’s peaceful with fewer people, while in the evening, it’s more crowded with people walking around and enjoying the cool air.

What I often photograph there is Tháp Rùa, or Turtle Tower, which stands on a small island in the middle of the lake. It’s an iconic structure, and I love how it looks reflected in the water. Sometimes, I also take pictures of the red bridge leading to Ngọc Sơn Temple, which is beautifully lit up at night.

The reason I like taking photos at Hồ Gươm is because it’s a place full of history and natural beauty. Every time I’m there, I feel connected to the culture and heritage of Hanoi. Also, it’s a place that never gets old for me. Even though I’ve been there many times, I always manage to find something new to capture in my photos, whether it’s the changing light or the people walking around. It’s the kind of place where every shot feels meaningful.

A place where I’ve taken photos multiple times is the beach in Da Nang, which is located in central Vietnam. Da Nang is known for its long, white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, making it one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the country. From the beach, you can also see the stunning Son Tra Mountain in the distance, which makes the view even more breathtaking.

I take photos there almost every time I visit Da Nang, which is usually during summer holidays or family vacations. It’s a popular tourist destination, so whenever I’m in the city, I can't resist heading to the beach to capture some photos of the amazing landscape. I think I've taken pictures there on at least three or four different trips.

The types of photos I take vary. Sometimes I focus on the ocean itself—the waves gently crashing onto the shore, or the sun rising and setting, casting beautiful colors over the water. I also like to take pictures of the mountains in the background, especially Son Tra Peninsula, which gives the beach a unique charm. And of course, I enjoy capturing moments of my family and friends relaxing, playing beach sports, or just enjoying the sunshine.

I love taking photos at Da Nang’s beach because it’s a place where I feel totally relaxed. The scenery is always picturesque, with the clear blue sky, the vibrant ocean, and the peaceful atmosphere. Every time I look back at the photos, it reminds me of the happy memories of spending quality time with my loved ones. Plus, the combination of the sea and mountains makes it the perfect spot for photography, no matter the time of day.

    IELTS Speaking part 3

Tham khảo một số câu trả lời phần thi IELTS Speaking part 3 đơn giản dưới đây từ SOL nhé:

    1. Where do people often like to take photos?

People usually like to take photos in scenic places or places that have special meaning to them. In Vietnam, you’ll often see people taking photos at landmarks like the Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi or the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City. Beautiful natural spots like beaches, mountains, or rice terraces are also popular for photography. Nowadays, even simple moments like hanging out with friends in a café or at a family gathering can be a reason to take photos.

    • special meaning /ˈspeʃl ˈmiːnɪŋ/: ý nghĩa đặc biệt
    • landmarks /ˈlændmɑːrks/: danh lam thắng cảnh
    • natural spots /ˈnætʃərəl spɑːts/: điểm đến thiên nhiên
    • rice terraces /raɪs ˈterəsɪz/: ruộng bậc thang
    • family gathering /ˈfæmɪli ˈɡæðərɪŋ/: buổi tụ họp gia đình

    2. Do young people take photos more than old people? Why?

Yes, I believe that young people take more photos than older people. With smartphones, it’s easy for young people to take pictures anytime they want, and they often share them on social media like Instagram or Facebook. Older people may not be as familiar with technology, or they might not feel the same need to document every moment. For young people, taking photos is a way to express themselves and capture memories.

    • express themselves /ɪkˈspres ðəmˈselvz/: thể hiện bản thân
    • capture memories /ˈkæptʃər ˈmeməriz/: lưu lại kỷ niệm

    3. Why do so many people spend money to take photos?

I would argue that people spend money on photos because they want high-quality images that they can keep for a long time. Professional photographers can capture special moments in a way that’s much better than just using a phone. For example, people often hire photographers for weddings, graduations, or other important events because they want the photos to look perfect. It’s also about creating lasting memories that they can look back on.

    • high-quality images /haɪ ˈkwɑːləti ˈɪmɪdʒɪz/: hình ảnh chất lượng cao
    • professional photographers /prəˈfeʃənl fəˈtɑːɡrəfərz/: nhiếp ảnh gia chuyên nghiệp
    • important events /ɪmˈpɔːrtənt ɪˈvents/: sự kiện quan trọng
    • lasting memories /ˈlæstɪŋ ˈmeməriz/: kỷ niệm lâu dài
    • look back on /lʊk bæk ɒn/: nhìn lại, hồi tưởng

    4. Why do people want a professional to take their photos?

People want a professional to take their photos because professionals have the right skills, equipment, and experience to capture the best moments. A professional knows how to use lighting, angles, and settings to make the photo look better than what an amateur could do. For example, during a wedding or a big event, having a professional ensures that the photos will turn out well and capture the atmosphere of the occasion perfectly.

    • use lighting /juːz ˈlaɪtɪŋ/: sử dụng ánh sáng
    • capture the best moments /ˈkæptʃər ðə best ˈmoʊmənts/: lưu giữ những khoảnh khắc đẹp nhất
    • turn out well /tɜːrn aʊt wel/: có kết quả tốt

    5. When do people need a professional to take photos for them ?

People usually need a professional photographer for special occasions, like weddings, graduations, or family portraits. These are moments that only happen once, so they want to make sure the photos are high quality. Other times, people hire professionals for business purposes, like taking photos for advertisements or products. Sometimes, even social media influencers hire photographers to make their pictures look more professional.

    • special occasions /ˈspeʃl əˈkeɪʒənz/: dịp đặc biệt
    • family portraits /ˈfæmɪli ˈpɔːrtrəts/: chân dung gia đình
    • business purposes /ˈbɪznɪs ˈpɜːrpəsɪz/: mục đích kinh doanh
    • social media influencers /ˌsoʊʃl ˈmiːdiə ˈɪnfluənsərz/: người ảnh hưởng trên mạng xã hội

    6. Do you think being a photographer is a good job?

Yes, I think being a photographer can be a very good job, especially if you’re passionate about it. It allows you to be creative and work in different environments, whether it’s shooting weddings, events, or nature. In Vietnam, photography is becoming more popular, and there’s always a demand for good photographers. However, like many creative jobs, it can be challenging because it’s competitive, and you need to build a good reputation to get consistent work.

    • passionate about /ˈpæʃənət əˈbaʊt/: đam mê về
    • creative jobs /kriˈeɪtɪv ʤɒbz/: công việc sáng tạo
    • build a good reputation /bɪld ə ɡʊd ˌrepjuˈteɪʃn/: xây dựng danh tiếng tốt
    • consistent work /kənˈsɪstənt wɜːrk/: công việc ổn định
