Many people are afraid to leave their homes because of their fear of crime. Some believe that more actions should be taken to prevent crime, but others feel that little can be done. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Đề bài yêu cầu bạn thảo luận về quan điểm của một số người về nỗi sợ hãi của họ khi rời khỏi nhà do tội phạm. Có hai quan điểm trái ngược nhau: một số người cho rằng cần có nhiều biện pháp mạnh mẽ hơn để ngăn chặn tội phạm, trong khi những người khác cảm thấy rằng các biện pháp liên quan hầu như không hiệu quả trong việc giảm tỷ lệ tội phạm. 

Lập dàn ý cho bài viết:

Nowadays, an increasing number of people are afraid to venture out alone due to the fear of crime. While some argue that preventive measureshave little impact on lowering the crime rate significantly, others contend that proactive actions can effectively safeguard people's lives and properties. Personally, I strongly support the latter view.

There are convincing arguments in favor of taking effective measures to protect properties. Firstly, implementing security measures in advance, such as installing robust doors, serves as a deterrent to potential criminals. These precautions not only prevent break-ins but also send a clear message to potential offenders that homeowners have taken proactive steps against crime.

Moreover, in the unfortunate event of a home invasion, the presence of pre-installed security equipment, like alarm systems, can immediately alert the police, enabling swift response and intervention. Lastly, adopting necessary security measures instills a sense of safety in people when they are away from their homes. By reducing anxiety about potential intrusions, individuals can focus on their daily activities without constant worry.

However, it is important to acknowledge the potential drawbacks of existing security measures. Some security devices have been criticized for their low quality and vulnerability to being easily bypassed. Last year, over 200 types of substandard anti-theft systems were identified and exposed, leading to penalties imposed on the manufacturers.

In conclusion, while it is true that preventive measures cannot guarantee absolute safety from criminal intrusion, the benefits they bring far outweigh any potential drawbacks. Overall, I firmly believe that individuals should prioritize their awareness of security, while governments should enact and enforce relevant laws to regulate the quality of security systems.
